I want to take this moment to thank all that visit my website and take the time to learn a little about me. I come from a single parent home. My Mother is my hero and one of my biggest fans always cheering me on. I am a mother of two grown children who are my world and I can only hope I did as good of a job as my mother did. My kids always have words of encouragement for me as I do for them. Let’s face it, it’s tough out there and the world can get to you sometimes no matter how old you are. My Mother taught me to be strong and independent and that I could be or do anything I wanted in life with a dream and hard work. I was always a bit of a tomboy growing up, probably because most of the kids on my block were boys. Whatever they were doing somehow seemed better than playing with my Barbie dolls. During the early part of my school days I started attending shop classes. My favorite was Wood Shop and Small Engines. If something was broke, I was up for the task to fix it. The constant urge to learn something new and how something ticked lead me to working with computers and eventually going to DeVry University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems. I have worked in the computer industry for over 20 years now. A lot of the time I was helping customers resolve technical issues. From a hardware problem to a software defect, I was up for the challenge. In the end, my favorite part was the smiles and Thank You’s I received after successfully resolving the customer’s problem and closing a job ticket. I believe in a good, honest, days’ work, and continue to challenge myself and learn something new every day.
